Judging from the manner in which the sub-divided land near the school there is every prospect of a great deal of building this year, and lots in this district will almost double in value during the next few months. On inquiring of T.C. Patterson we find there are very few lots left.
The annual meeting of the Cochrane Football club was held on Saturday last, nearly all of the old members being present, as well as a number of others who are likely to turn out good material for the team.
Bruce McNamee graced the chair. Fred Hollis was elected captain, but as he has decided to go to the coast W. Blankstein was chosen in his place.
It was decided to run the football club in connection with the Cochrane Social and Athletic. Every member must pay $2 to the club before he is entitled to play football. The above fee entitles him to partake of all the other privileges of the club. The colors are to remain the same as last year, green and white.
The manager was instructed to get in touch with the Calgary League and enter Cochrane if possible.
